So I just saw a snippet of Gears 5 campaign gameplay and cutscene.. I'm changing my predictions.

God DAMN did it look good.  Literally better than anything in Gears 4.  The visuals were just jaw dropping too.

That's a valid concern to have.  But we'll see how well the straddle the line of open world and typical Gears gameplay.

 

All I will say is that from what I saw it looks MUCH better than Gears 4 gameplay and design-wise.
