Playstation Tablet 1,725
The only issue is that Switch doesn't have the golden age Capcom and Squaresoft exclusives. But if Nintendo continues with its first party it's on its way to giving the SNES a run for it's money.

Playstation Tablet 1,725
If we get a Metroid Prime/Super Metroid level Metroid game, it's going to be the best Nintendo first party run on a system ever

John Omaha 18
If they continue like this, it might be close. First-party is definitely trending towards a better showing than SNES right now.

kokujin 558
I'm happy Nintendo is selling. But even n64 has a much closer place to my heart. It's a ditch a way from the Wii and wiiu though so that's great. Also ninty alone still outs out 10/10 titles, so hah. But it can't compare to the old cons imo. jehurey 3,230
If anything, Platinum Games is filling in the space where Capcom and Konami would've occupied during the SNES era. If Metroid get back to being a premier action-adventure game, and BoTW2 ends up being a monster, and they end up putting one more fantastic Mario Platformer, and then a new Mario Kart comes out designed for Switch, and the other smaller franchises end up doing well, like Animal Cross, Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong Country. Then it might get close. SNES never got Pokemon.

102020393023445948594 2,223
yes it is. Bayo 2 and Astral Chain already put the entire SNES lineup to shame.

This is precisely why I barely consider those games in a comparison. It'll be a very long time before we see another GOAT-level run like Square had from 1990-2000.
