I never was, but when i play with it I feel embarrassed cause it's too easy. scout = real skill. also m4/ak traditon. actually one of the reason why I can't take the pro cs:go games right now serious. 

 

they focus so much on awp it's ridiculous to me. not that i would stand a chance or anything but I mean I could if I wanted to.

Because like you said it yourself it's all about competition, there's a reason AK/M4/AWP/Deagle were pushed to the forefront of usage, effectiveness. 

 

A scout is fine for shining people on in pubs or pugs but in a real competitive match it's not a terribly viable weapon.
