They've got one more chance in my books, with this gen. If they can't come up with at least 2-3 God of War/The Last of Us 2/ Horizon / Spider-Man caliber games, just end them Lets see if Playground Games can make a good game that isn't a racer. The last time they tried to compete, they got their ass handed (Gamecube). MS has very bad leadership. I'll wait. Well, they have very compelling services which people in general view as a very good value. They've got more studios than ever before. Hellblade 2 should be quite good, and Playground Games will likely do a great job with Fable. There's some unknowns, such as The Initiative.. but it appears like they're going a more mature based game, and they've got some great talent at that studio. And of course, there's Halo Infinite... which could end up really great. It looks like it's taking art and design cues from the original trilogy and has a brand new engine. It's going to launch on all MS platforms, so it should do really good numbers, especially as a launch title. When was the last time Halo was a launch title... They need to get some Japanese exclusive games and maybe try to bring back stuff that reminds people of better days. But I think they're doing fine for the moment. They have powerful hardware, and a lot of this crossplay/smart delivery shit will make it easy for people to transition over. They have a lot of work ahead of them though. JonDnD 2,698 Posted May 13, 2020 Share Posted May 13, 2020 GamePass is going to be huge for MS (currently 10 million subscribers, lol psnow) You take home your new XSX and can play Halo Infinite ( hopefully pre installed ) and hundreds of others games right off the bat , for free. Enhanced Xbox one games and it will probably launch with Forza 8 and something from one of their new studios , and a couple big 3rd parties . They son’t have the clout to pull anything big with third parties, they don’t have the talent to make great exclusives, and they just simply don’t care enough about gaming as a whole to put out anything other than 6.0 straight to gamepass garbage.
