Paying 70 dollars for a new Call of duty, in this economy :lul:

Very few games I played were even worth 60 this gen. Gaming is heading for another crash

Nah, Nintendo is here to save the day

This is going to be standard next gen. Well overdue. Get use to it.

It's bullshit. Like selling 30-40M units and having a massive level of MTX isn't enough to develop ten more of these games. I'm all for $60 for games like Call of Duty. Single player games with insane production value on the other hand makes sense.

None of that really has much to do with it tbh, there isn't going to be a differentiating factor between big games, sp games, mp games, etc, the same way you pay the same base movie price at the cinema regardless if you are watching Avengers with a budget of 300million or if you're watching a small indie film with a budget of 10m. In fact we are lucky that there is so much price experimentation in games and the digital stores allow a huge range of price points.

The base video game price of $60usd hasn't increased in over a decade. There is literally next to nothing else in the entertainment industry (or nearly any other) that has been stagnate on price in a time where inflation and decreasing purchasing power has been insane. Bumping it up to $70 is basically just staying in line with inflation since the last price increase.
