You just know if this thing passed DynaFlop and JenB were going to do their quarterly login and claim ownage :roff: Instead they're lurking with tears in their eyes and a whole lotta salt

you can tell it was written by an angry Bobby Kotick.

Uk citizens face increasingly dire economic prospects....therefore there should rely on good guy microsoft and good guy activision for support, 2 companies reknowned for predatory practises and anti consumer behaviour :roff:

Sony buying Bungie has got to be some of the biggest SW ownage with their new IP and Destiny 3 coming.

I'd lol if Bungie did the minimum possible adjustment to make Halo on PS5 without calling it Halo. Like Demons Souls -> Dark Souls.

No way. I think it will still go through.

Or is it officially over?

It's basically dead in the UK. The CMA wins 70% of it's merger appeals. Even if MS won the appeal in this case that doesn't reverse the decision or give somebody else the chance to approve it, it just kicks the decision back to the CMA for further review. Supposedly the appeals board can limit the reason for CMA to reject it, so maybe there's hope there.

The more interesting scenario is the deal going through everywhere else and Microsoft having the choice of completing the deal and exiting the UK with Activision's games or giving up the merger.
