Alphonse★ 453
What do you guys think of The Messenger? Saw that it's getting a jrpg prequel, so it's back on my radar and with my corona free time figure I give it a chance

Twinblade★ 3,909
Started Doom Eternal on PC. Was surprised that they don't even let you save your graphics options if the settings exceed your VRAM cap. I had to set the texture pool setting down to medium, none of the rest seem to have that much of an effect. The game is fun but im not sure how I feel about their new mechanics. It seems that im constantly running out of ammo and have to run around looking for zombies to chainsaw, or worst case scenario fuel so that I can even use the chainsaw. It does seem to hurt the pacing of the combat a bit, especially with how low the ammo cap for the weapons seem to be (like only having 16 shells for the shotgun, but maybe thats something you can upgrade later on). -GD-X★ 7,733
I’m putting plague tale on hold, because I’m loving the open world of fh4. I had forgotten how beautiful and scenic this game is. It’s perfect for these self isolating times. I feel a sense of freedom. Oh, and fortune island is dope!

jehurey 3,230
So, since Epic Games Store just gave away Watch Dogs for free, I downloaded that game. And then I went researching on the well-known mod to restore those lost E3 graphics, but came across an improved version of that mod. And then I came across a "Living City" mod in which they open up enclosed interior areas that were only used for certain missions, they add more people and traffic. AND they restore certain types of missions that were cut from the game, and they scripted new types of dynamic missions that can pop up anywhere. So one is a graphics mod, and the other is a gameplay mod. But both mods require a modified "patch.dat" and "patch.fat" file that goes in the main data folder. But I can't have two of the same named file. So, in order to merge both mods together, I had to use another program that took each of the two "patch.dat" files and "unpacked" them into folders, and then I combined all of those folders and files, and then the programs "packed" them into one singular "patch.dat" file that is downloaded into the main file folder for the game. So, its pretty interesting.
madmaltese★ 2,558
Not having the best of time with Plague’s Tale tbh. It’s fine (probably a decent 7.5) but I think it definitely serves better as a surprise than going in hearing that’s it’s really good. up to chapter 6 now and it’s basically Escort mission The Game and literally so. Always having to move slow cause holding hands, very old style stealth mechanics of making noise to distract someone than walking past them, etc. I’ll still finish it but yeah, expected more tbh. Stop it breh, you're breaking my heart But the story does ramp up later on and you get more offensive abilities to use in combat, so maybe you'll warm up to it more.
