If SRR is suppose to be the game to reintroduce the Shining Force series then it failed. This game is so unbelievably average. I got it for 10 bucks while it was on sale but I feel like the game should be priced at that by default. RoF on the other hand is just a weird game. I played it before on the 360 but never did beat it. I think I got to Chapter 7 and then just stopped playing the game, don't remember why though. Its holding my interest because its so different but I am starting to get bored of the combat. Its nowhere near as difficult or complex as people make it out to be. Resonance of fates combat never was complex. I don’t know why anyone ever thought that. Maybe they just expected DQ gameplay. I personally thought it was a fantastic game with great characters, the steampunk setting was cool and it was made by the people who made Valkyrie profile 2 which is another favorite of mine. I never heard of that shining force gane and it’s for the best. That series is dead. The first 2 are some of my all time greats but everything after that

I've never heard anyone saying resonance of fate combat is difficult or complex. It's just different. I could do with the over the top jumping and spinning around in the air tbh but I like the combat system and the game in general, only the overworld is kinda lame. how you make your way up- and down the tower. But everything else is godlike. the music and atmosphere. It's definitely influenced by the oldschool CRPG Arcanum. For example one of the airships in this game is named Zephyr, they share the same setting (steampunk) and the music is pretty similar.

Delita 698
got damn. I thought I made a double post when I noticed we posted the exact same thing worded differently at the sane second Kaz
Sabo 442
I suggest both of you type "Resonance of Fate combat" into Google then... The things you guys are saying are the exact opposite of what the majority of the internet thinks which is why I'm puzzled by this games reputation. Its nowhere near what its claimed to be. Mr. House 3,371
Resonance of Fate was hard but hardly the most deep combat system or anything. The same approach worked for most fights. Great game though, it was breath of fresh air last gen. Anyway, I started to play Pixel Ripped 1995 on PSVR, this game is everything its prequel 1989 should have been. Im loving it (minus some camera syncing issues). The level where you pass from one game to another with the same power up from the other game is really clever. The nostalgia is through the roof with games mimicking Legend of Zelda, Castlevania IV, Metroid, Sonic, Streets of Rage, etc. One of the best VR games Ive played lately with Walking Dead. I also bought Gorn and Golem but both games are pretty shitty tbh. I need to stop listening to the PSVR community.
kokujin 558
Gonna skip combat simulator in poop fantasy seven. Game has really worn out it’s welcome. I’d give it an 8-9 so far.

bhytre 2,753
Resonance of Fate is still one of my all time favorite JRPGs, would pay triple for a sequel I think most people calling it hard got filtered in the beginning and didn't go through that long ass tutorial, which will definitely fuck you up if you completely skip it And that statue escort mission was probably where they quit Edited May 22, 2020 by bhytre

kokujin 558
How fun is persona the definitive version? I can import it and play it in jap text and learn. Is there hella voiced dialogue or am I gonna be reading boring shit for a long time? should I get persona 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, 5-3 remastered, or the newest Persona 5? Purist 134
Just finished another playthrough of TLOU in anticipation of Part 2, this time on survival difficulty. Game's shorter than I remember. Survival difficulty can be really intense at times. Ammo is pretty scarce and reminds me of classic RE games in a good way. Controls are a bit dated though by today's standards and I can definitely see how Part 2 can improve immensely on that aspect. Proning, jumping, dodging are going to make encounters much more dynamic. Edited May 22, 2020 by Pureis

I’ll check again, on reddit, but you can buy all the items the rewards associated with that quest anyways for like 18k. Another reason gaming will never be the same. I’ve put 105 hrs into ff7 no joke. Backtracked everywhere. Checking every nook and corner in dungeons. Wall licking. There’s nothing good stashed anywhere (so far). Imo the shinra building made some attempts to save goodies only for the diligent. But yes., the game uses quite a bit of padding and when all is said and done, I could have ran through it in 40 hrs with 95% of my same stash. In different ways, I’d pick parts of ff15 over this design sequel to ff13.

You have nobody to blame for yourself The game doesn't have anywhere near 100 hours of content, you chose to waste all that time.
