The Official "What Are You Playing?" Thread (Post Screens)

About to hit the 50 hour mark in Trails to Azure. What an absolute ride this game has been. Some of the best JRPG storytelling and character work i've seen. The universe and geopolitics at play here are so intricate and deep that it makes the average FF game look amateurish in comparison.

I won't be playing anything for months or close to a year probably, stuck in bumfuck nowhere Montenegro in the middle of endless mountains, imagine Rocky IV's training location without the snow (yet)

There are cheaper ways to torture yourself. Im pretty sure razor blades go for $1-$2.

I finally finished Aegis Rim     I want my fucking 40 hours back. I can't believe how absolutely SHIT that ending was. I couldn't be more disappointed right now.   I was

I finished Old Hunters. Kos fucked me up so many times. However, I finally got him. That was a phenomenal mini DLC campaign. Perhaps the best I’ve ever played. Next up: checking out some chalice dungeons via codes. I want to get +27% gems lol. Then,  I’ll knock out the remaining story-based ones. I think BB may now be my favorite From game.

Hell yeah dude.

FROM DLC is always amazing. Glad you liked it.

Hopefully we get that BB remaster one day - though you're making me want to install it and play through again.

Yeah man, I love it so much. I’m so glad I did a second playthrough, along with the dlc, and that I have been exploring areas I had missed the first time (found 2 bosses I had skipped). I need to check the trophy list to see what I’m missing. I want that platinum :smoke:

edit: I would love a 4K 60FPS remaster. It would be another excuse to run through the game :smoke:

I finished the story chalice dungeons. The last 3 were awesome! I’m glad I stuck with it. I dare say pthumerian descendant, bloodletting beast (headless edition) and pthumerian queen are as good as the main campaign’s best fights. Definitely more of a challenge (not factoring in old hunters dlc). Now, I have to collect some shit I missed in my quest for the platinum.

I platinum’d Bloodborne :smoke:

You're a beast man lol. Chewing through these games.

I know you said you're getting into Burning Shores next. But, if and when you get the urge for some more FROM stuff, I'd reallllly recommend Sekiro. It definitely strays the furthest from the formula, but I think you'll dig it.

Yeah man, after Burning Shores, I think I’ll give Sekiro a shot. I dig close quarter combat now.

BB is my favorite too. It's just different enough to carve out it's own identity and the game's quality is the most consistent out of the Soulsborne games. The DLC is fuckin' amazing, FromSoft's best DLC offering.

100%!!! It’s definitely on a different level. I hope they make a sequel.

Do you find it to have a bigger jump over the campaign, visually, now that it’s only on PS5?

Yes, it's definitely a bigger jump over the base game.

The volumetric clouds are incredible when you fl through them and the draw distance is better than the base game :aitch:

I also noticed improved weather effects and a more vibrant and animated world. They somehow managed to push the graphics even further which is insane to me because it was already unbelievable in the base game.

I think I’m finally bloodborne’d out. I never got around to replaying the dlc. Maybe in a few months. I looked into sekiro…and the monkey boss fight looked silly. Mind you, I’m someone who thought the sif fight in dark souls owned. I think I’m going to pass on the game. I watched a good amount of vids, hoping to get excited for it, and the main areas seem simple and devoid of worthy exploration. I’m just not feeling the vibe (based on what I’ve seen). I’m considering doing the ds3 dlc.
