Snowman 65
Watched The Gentlemen this past weekend, it's Guy Richie's newish film, came out right before Covid hit the US in 2020, but I forgot all about it until the other day.. It was a return of old Guy Richie and it was very solid all around. It ain't Snatch level, and probably isn't better than Lock, Stock, & 2 Smoking Barrels, but it's kinda up there. Acting was great all around, even by the side characters, took me a 2nd watch to get some of the humor and while it's not Snatch level humor, I had some good laughs. What's not to love about a good Gangsta film!
Snowman 65
Also, damn, I need to catch up on my TV shows. Been slacking hard these past 4-5 weeks. Haven't watched the last episode of Peacemaker yet, the last 2 episodes of Boba Feet, haven't seen the last 4, soon to be 5 episodes of Snowpiercer, and still need to watch S2 of Euphoria lmao

Just seen Spider Man and thought it was pretty good overall. Reveal hidden contents I think The Lizard and Sandman could've had more screen time and dialogue though. I also really liked the Daredevil cameo. Still gutted how these Netflix shows got cancelled. I'll anyone at anytime that the MacGruber movie owned. I think the problem is that barely anyone bothered to see it. Tbf I only saw it the first time because I had HBO or whatever running in the background. It's sleeper af.

Mr. Impossible 411
Really enjoyed The Batman. It was the batman movie I've wanted since Batman Begins. It's not as bombastic as most current hero movies but it's also the street level Batman we haven't gotten yet either.

I watched it a second time, and I think its going to be a movie that I will only watch 2-3 times, in total. When TDK came out, I felt like this movie will change and progress how comicbook movies are made, and I feel like it did accomplish that. This movie, I feel like its filling in the emotional gaps that Chris Nolan could never provide, that extra "oomph" movie moment. Its finally completing what Nolan started. With that said, after my second viewing, I don't believe this movie will change how other movies are made. Its not going to have that impact. But I'm perfectly fine with 2-3 more of these, and I really don't mind if they straight-up steal Batman Arkham Asylum's story, and make it a smaller scope movie that takes place over the course of one night. I think the Joker should only wreck havoc on a smaller scale, and it could be a place like Arkham. Edited March 21, 2022 by jehurey

I was cranky and wanted to leave, and I hated the scenes in the final half hour.

jehurey 3,278
Its about time that Rory Kinnear got his proper movie that showcases his talents. I never even really saw much of the first couple of seasons of Penny Dreadful, but he was fantastic in the reboot series and won me over.

The acting was perfect, was funny, sad, emotional, everything. great soundtrack, they captured the 90s perfectly. Great cast. I had no interest in watching this but gave it a shot. It made me feel horrible for Pam. Lilly James who plays her did an incredible job. Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee was also perfect. Definitely watch this series. I agree with the Nolan stuff but I think this movie lacks a certain summer movie moment that even the Nolan movies did. I was sold on the trailers where Batman was at a crime scene among the police department. That's definitely what I have been waiting for since the 90s batman movies. I just wish they had a big ticket moment like BB and TDK had. Something bigger than life. I'll wait for it on HBO to give it a second look. Looking at the leap from BB to TDK, I feel good about the future of the franchise.
