Delivery pending

Kojima just sent me a comparison image between the PS4 and PC versions of Death Stranding so that we can know what to expect.       It's coming along nicely

Kojima sends his regards

It's starting to seem by the day that Sony has little say in what's happening here.

Intellectual Property that's owned by Sony... have little say, he says. :hest:

A partnership with Sony doesn't mean they own the IP, can you produce anything that definitively proves this is their game? Because it's really starting to look like it's Kojima's game but Sony gets a big kickback from anything made on it.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. :hest:

Last Week Sony Interactive Entertainment America filed to trademark the name of Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game “Death Stranding” with the United States Patent and Trademark Offoce.

This follows the European registration happened in June just before E3.

Contrary to popular belief, registering the trademark is not an equivalent to owning the IP, which is dictated by contract among the parts involved. What it does show, is that Sony is very involved with Kojima Productions’ new game, possibly taking care of all the bureaucratic elements in order to let the team focus on creating a great game.

Trademarks, copyrights, and patents protect different types of intellectual property. A trademark typically protects brand names and logos used on goods and services.
