-GD-X★ 8,347
i know it's not new years yet, but i've been reprioritizing a lot of shit in my life, the last few months, especially since a close relative has been going through chemo. for me... 1. i'd like to get good at playing the piano. i've always been ok (i've done lots of simple hip hop/edm melodies). but i want to actually get good at it. 2. take my fitness to the next level. i've been too complacent the last year or so. i'm still in good shape, but i want to be able to do pistol squats and flag holds again. 3. travel to italy or japan. 4. learn 3d graphics. i'm a total boss with adobe premiere, and i know after effects pretty well. however, i suck at cinema 4d. i have the computer power, so it's time to learn. how about you all? If you're worried about being overwhelmed then theres lots of guided tours that you can look into, then all you have to worry about is scheduling the flights and the tour company handles everything else.

Ever been to Europe? As a person who’s never been to Europe, how welcoming is it to non Europeans or I guess Americans? That’s kinda my worries. Someone told me that if I ever went to Europe, just tell them I’m from California (which I am). I guess it comes off better To them than saying I’m American otherwise you get treated like shit apparently.
Chicano3000 119
Design my own game. Ive made a vr game for a company but they scrapped it so Im making some cheap app at the moment. Lot has went on and game design was put i to the back burner. went from graphic design to videographer to motion graphic designer, and even music producer(had a beat on itunes for a minute). Then got hired by a company as a “3d design specialist”. But I havent done anything out of love for a good minute. Like having my own pet project. learned Unity/Zbrush/maya and even a bit of houdini. It’s time I fulfill my childhood dream. Successful or not, I just wanna complete something and out it out there. im in a better spot than Ive been before, but it feels empty if I just let go of what I dreamed of doing before. My last 2 biggest trips were to Iceland and Ireland, and everyone was really polite in both countries (especially Ireland, folks over there are awesome). Americans are also the biggest travelers, so its in other places' interests to be good to us as we bring in a lot of their tourism money. Also, if you're worried about a language barrier then don't be. Europeans are VERY well educated, so unless you travel to a desolate country nobody visits you'll find that most people in their 20s-40s will be fluent in english. When I went to Iceland one of the first things that shocked me was how well people spoke it. I've talked to Americans with inferior vocabularies Edited November 20, 2019 by Twinblade
