Current Covid strain is less deadly AND herd immunity is on the horizon in previous hot spots like NY

Hmm....I distinctly remember arguing for both of these points a while ago and everybody here fervently disagreed. If only liberals would actually follow the data instead of eating up the 'covid is the end of the world!!1' narrative that the mainstream media feeds them on a daily basis.

Less deadly than what? The argument you're referencing was that the current strain is less deadly than the strain that we saw in NYC and Europe, but the D614G mutation is that strain.

 

What about this article do you think vindicates you? :ben:

That’s what happened in Italy, it spread like wildfire but then became less deadly over time. nobody believed that mutation would happen in the u.s, and were arguing against the Italian doctors as if they knew more about how viruses work.

I love how he keeps on doing it, like as if he thinks its an effective form of defiance. It doesn't matter.

 

The herd immunity claim is absolutely laughable except for maybe of a handful of neighborhoods, it would not stop other people from getting infected.

 

New York is not doing a fantastic job because of herd immunity, its because of sound restrictions to prevent spread.

There's nothing to support that. Genome sequencing doesn't even have Italy ever even being hit by the D614 variant to any meaningful degree, it was almost exclusively the D614G variant. NYC and France are the same, too.

I don't know why you are so adamant that measures taken to limit the spread and reduce viral load couldn't be working as intended or that treatment has gotten better.

His intent has been from the beginning to defend Trump, so that little game gives you few intelligent or honest options.

Treatments have gotten better but the virus itself is still weakening dude. It becoming more infectious is like its last chance, but as a result of being able to infect more hosts its becoming less fatal.

I don’t know who banned him. I checked the ban history and nothing was there. Maybe a glitch?
