When your userbase is trained to expect games on gamepass day 1 they will purchase less games at retail.   

 

 

Based on PS systems accounting for over 50% and PS5 version selling more than the PS4 version..... that means the PS5 version alone outsold all Xbox versions combined.

Because I figure that the PS5 version is a free upgrade, and therefore all the disc versions of the game are the PS4 version, and when you stick it in a PS5, it just downloads the PS5 version.

So ~4M sold to date

 

PS consoles = ~2.2M

PC = ~1.1M

Xbox consoles = ~0.7M

 

Just a guess going off 1M+ owners on SteamSpy.

 

 

And going by my RE7 predictions for sales figures in my "RE8 PC sales" thread

Looks like I'm pretty close and things are generally ~50% PS, ~25% PC, and ~25% Xbox.

 

Sales split seem to be in line with RE7.

i think there's a bit of truth to GP possibly interfering with sales. i asked a friend if he was picking up re 8 for his series s. he said he'll wait for it to hit GP
