It's in worse in other countries, yes in certain countries it's better as well. 

 

But point is too huge of a segment of the population doesn't have broadband to go 100% digital and expect to sell 100 million consoles + over a billion in software. 

 

You need both a physical and digital presence to achieve that.

Internet on your phone =/=broadband.

Whether Xbox goes all digital, or makes a price cut, what ever happens they lose. So I don't see any point especially if they don't have Activision.

their plans are to do a mid-gen refresh Xbox Series X 2TB next year in 2024............for $500, still. Not even a fucking price cut

 

And the original Xbox Series X, the ONLY PIECE OF HARDWARE with a disc drive, is going to be "end of life" meaning they will not manufacture anymore.

They're basically telling major publishers who sell $70 games at retail "don't bother making games for our platform, anymore."

I can resell any Switch game I buy for 70 percent of what I got it for. If it's a limited print I actually make a profit though I would never trade it in. Why would I want to stick to console store cabal pricing as well.

Go check the SNES and Megadrive physical markets genius were games go for 150-200. Or Rule of Rose PS2 that costs like 1000 on ebay.
