Instead of a boyscout main character out to prove himself like in prior Trauma games, the cast is generally more worldly and cynical. I really like them. The six different types of gameplay play to same basic strength as open world games: If you start to get bored doing one thing, you can switch to something else. And mixing arcade and adventure gameplay is good mix because they're so different from one another but in the context of the game's plot they fit together. The writing itself can be a little overwrought with aggravating logic gaps here and there but it's always likable to me.
