It was wild. Way more active users. Threads were getting made constantly, a thread would get made and within like 5 minutes that thread would be gone from the front page and buried deep on the second or third page. Shit talking was overflowing all over the place. Dudes would be arguing with each other within like 12 different threads all at once. You basically had to use multiple tabs to even keep up with it all, it was like the goddamn Wild West up in this place. My favorite thing though is the memes from that year. I still remember all the gifs, I always chuckle when I think abou2 points

Not NFL and lol college football lol, but the FSU vs. LSU game was fucking hilarious. 5:20 onward if you want to see one of the wildest endings to a football game.1 point

which one? I have 3 scenes with that date. and I got through the first hidden ones you mentioned. Those were pretty eye opening and definitely can’t be missed.1 point

PS5 is the hands down worst Playstation console in term of exclusive games. To put things into perspective by this time in the PS3 lifespan comparatively to the PS5 right now, MGS4 was coming out during the upcoming Holiday and the PS4 has had Bloodborne since March of the second year of the platform. Meanwhile the only PS5 exclusive game that is not cross gen is a fucking Ratchet and Clank game. TCHBFR.1 point

@Twinblade this one alone provides like 3 or 4 hidden clips. You can trigger them by the commercial break at the end: 4/15/19691 point

Oh, you can fast forward to the parts that vibrate. Broo…I’m seeing each film in a different way now. I’m one clip away from the cinephile achievement. I feel like being a completionist with this game. I got a lot of meh family stuff going on, so I’m loving the diversion. That theory you posted is looking pretty spot on.1 point

The lower the res the worse the difference becomes. Like 480p looked like shit on a 720p tv but 1080p is perfectly playable on a 4ktv.1 point

That was also before games were using temporal AA and tons of post processing. Now a game at 1440p will mostly look just a bit softer... which is also usually countered by a hint of sharpening.1 point

I remember playing Crysis at 720p on a 1080p monitor because my pc at the time wasn't that good, and the difference was extremely noticeable. The IQ was terrible, much worse than 720p looks on a 1080p TV. But im sure the distance from the screen plays a role in that.1 point

Looks fine. And I sincerely doubt there's many games you couldn't run at 4K 60, especially with a couple tweaked settings.. And anyway, most new games come with DLSS or FSR1 point
-
I wouldn't imagine it's that different to a TV. 2K on a 4ktv looks pretty good. Arkham Knight at 1440p with FSR looked like it was native 4k.1 point

You'd be lucky if you get a pamphlet. Games nowadays come with the disc, and the game case.1 point

I joined in 2004, I remember everyone playing about GTA San Andreas but it wasn't released in Europe until a few days later I think but the hype was unreal so the short wait was excrutiating. Social media killed forums for sure I remember checking out gs sw and even thats dead now. A lot of the internet kind of died and now its all centered around twittee, reddit, facebook etc theres only the odd forum that flourishes like Resetera and but thats astroturded to hell. I think the most epic time of systemwars has to be Zelda TP. That hype was insane. I still remember rando1 point

We joined the same year. I never posted anywhere else except sidescrollers.net, systemwars2.com and Gamespot original SW forum (only for a short time). I dunno but other forums are just shit, there's no freedom of expression or it's just a hivemind echo chamber like Neogaf back in the days. Here I can trash anything I want and it's normal, almost expected. Systemwars is freedom.1 point

I just snitched you to Trudeau's Liberal cabinet. They ensured me that they will take all the appropriate measures for this anti-scientific, racist and misogynistic disinformation. On a side note, they also asked me if I knew which bank service provider that you were using, I said no.0 points
