And almost this entire time, the PSVR2 had only been available through PS Direct, and not even at retailers. And looking back at that original chart, it clearly says SIX WEEKS after launch, in launched in February, so this is basically just through the first quarter of 2023. Six weeks is February 22nd to April 5th. .......we're not even talking about Christmas season, we're talking about in the middle of Q1. PSVR1 launched on October 13th and would've included BLACK FRIDAY within its six week period. These numbers are excellent.

Wait didn't PSVR2 launch Feb of this year? We're only in May and it already sold 600K? For a VR headset that's great numbers for 2.5 months on the market. At this rate PSVR2 will outsell the steam deck... Before the year is done... So the question begs.. Which one of the two is really the niche device?

It’s definitely my favorite 3D Zelda since OOT, perhaps better. The balance of interesting combat (including one wild set piece and one heck of a gameplay twist) and some truly fun puzzles have made the last 10+ hours I’ve played pretty amazing. Overall, this is perhaps the most next gen game I’ve played (yet it’s on old ass hardware lol). BOTW was like a neat demo of something great, but this is something way more fleshed out and dynamic.

It's too bad you can't enjoy AAA VR games like the PSVR2 master race. No Gran Turismo 7. No Resident Evil Village. No Horizon Call of Mountain. No haptic feedback. No foveated rendering. No retro projection of 60fps into 90fps making the game unplayable. Oh wait. PCVR is inferior in every way.

I used to argue with RemiJ it just wasn't happening. Even if the sales were substantially better than they are now, it would make no difference to Sony main game plan with the PS5. Hell they have the balls to introduce VR at a premium price point supported by exclusive first and third party content. Exclusive killer-apps for PS5 are the priority. That's about as good as it'll get for late Playstation ports on PC. I mean these are fine numbers IF you port the games years later like Spiderman. TLOU Part 1 though, not so much, too soon and for too little returns. Also Sony needs to consider the games being ported. Something like GT7 would sell way more due to PC having a huge racing fans community. Something like Destiny sells millions every year on PC. Third person action games though? Not so much. It's a different market.

I'd love to see the sales of the softwares. This is going to give a nice boost to VR gaming. I can't wait to have mine in a few months. I should have saved towards this but I wasn't fully convince. Well, at least with Bluepoint you can confidently say you'll get a quality conversion. One thing I think Bluepoint lacks in, is while they can create amazing visuals... they can also be quite sterile in a sense. That is to say they haven't proven their capable of animating things at a next level. As awesome as Zelda BOTW and TOTK are, I don't think I want the series to remain quite this open going forward forever. I know they've said that this will be the template going forward, but I think it needs to bring back even more of that structure of the past Zelda titles to it.
