Oh @-GD-X, if you have PS Extra for a month and want to try something unique, give Inscryption a go. It's a very specific niche of a genre but if it hits and you get a little bit into it, it is a game that constantly surprises. Prob fav game I've played this year.

I had to stop trying for Gold after a while because of the difficulty but they do let you keep a majority of your set up from attempt to attempt so you don't need to start from scratch. Plus the fast forward feature is meant to alleviate the repetition (gets you to where you need to fix errors much quicker) but yeah rewind would've been a lot easier.

Best month in a very long time.

Impact of GP. Stay subbed to get full features. Game gets split across months to have multiple release drops and buzz. This issue will only worsen the more sub models become prevalent

Yeah and can get pretty difficult, especially if you're trying to 100% levels. Worth checking out if you're on the look out for puzzle games

Started watching it just to check it out and it's actually entertaining in a way I can't even describe. The jokes are horrible, haven't laughed once, the script feels like it's written by a child, it looks low budget in areas (then decent budget in others) and the acting is so over the top that it takes you out of it sometimes yet somehow it knows all these things and embraces them and is a light fun watch. The short ep lengths help a lot. Also Sweet Tooth is done pretty damn well. I'm like 5/6 eps in.

P4G is great but I feel it would be tough to go back to P4 after the QoL improvement P5 did in regards to it's gameplay.

Disagree because Switch was a migration of Nintendo's 2 markets (console and handheld) into one and also because the gaming market is also significantly bigger now. But PS2 also had the dvd angle which no doubt was a major factor in it's success.

I think it makes a lot of sense to take out optical drives in future devices and have them optional. Any cost cutting approaches like that I'm all for. For eg my XSX is purely a GP device so I've paid for the optical drive for no reason essentially. I think Alan Wake is a bit of an example of how gaming maybe isn't ready for it. There was a decent amount of backlash against their decision to not have physical, to the degree that publishers actually reached out and offered to publish the physical version for them (i think it was 505 Games in this case).
