Dude's gotta pay $130K to the Chicago PD for their cost into the investigation :killzone:

here's the thing. at the end of the day Rahm Emmanuel is just grandstanding. That bill isn't valid.

The prosecution gave him a plea deal.............they're just not calling it a plea deal.

He forfeited his $10,000 bond, which they can't do that unless they got Smollet to sign off on it. He signed off on it..........because they reached a plea deal.

That's his payment, and that's all Chicago is getting. $10,000

probation or community service was always going to be the most probably punishment.

i don't care how much right-winger scream about this being the biggest scandal in the history of scandals.............he filed a fake police report.

how much prison time does the average person get for filing a fake police report in which nobody is false accused or jailed.

File a fake police report for somebody committing rape, and some guy goes to jail for month/years.........then that's serious and it ruined somebody's life.

Him and the other two guys should get a minimal jail time (like when Paris Hilton went to jail for 6 days) and probation/community service.

The prosecutor who took over the Smollett case when Foxx stepped aside, Joe Magats, said Tuesday that the resolution Smollett enjoys “is available to all defendants; it's not something out of privilege; it's not something out of clout."

Foxx spokesperson Tandra Simonton claimed the Smollett resolution "is not a new or unusual practice.”

But Eric Sussman, who once served as Foxx’s top deputy, had a different take:  “I’ve never, ever seen anything like this.”

If Smollett's resolution "is available to all defendants" and "not a new or unusual practice," then there are a bunch of people pleading guilty and saddling themselves with lifetime criminal records for no apparent reason. Here are the details of those cases and their court dispositions:

When you got friends in high places (Democrat party and left wing groups)

These fucks have no shame. They openly parade how corrupt they are in full view for everyone to see, and your typical libtard is so brainwashed they cheer for it. :hest:

....or just a good lawyer.

The only advantage I see is that they processed his case quickly, and that's probably because it was a high-profile case.

Other people waited 11 months for their case to go to trial or reach a plea agreement, but look at the plea deals.

-Two years probation, community service, a $584 fine

-Two years probation, 5 days in jail, a $400 fine

-One year court supervision, 60 hours of community service

The only thing I see that he didn't get was probation. He got community service, but he reported that he had already done like 50 hours. His reporting on the community service sounds sketchy, it had something to do with reviewing stuff for a media company that is in regards of LBGTQ marketing or something like that.

If the court said he had to get community service..........then there WAS a plea deal. If the charges were dropped, why was he told to do community service, and more important, why aren't they giving back his $10,000 bond money?

This isn't hard to figure out, they had a plea deal, but the attorney's office isn't confirming that a plea deal exists.

In America?  :]

That feeling you're getting watching a rich black dude get away with breaking the law is why this thread is fucking hilarious.  You're feeling that because only white people should be able to do this, not black people!

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. :cruise:

Now taking bets on the first to get triggered by that last line. :cruise:

So because he's not a rich white dude we aren't allowed to be pissed off because he's getting away with portraying white people as racist biggots who beat him up on the streets and attempted to lynch him?

He tried to use race and bigotry to raise his profile and get more acting jobs. That is fucking scummy and you won't even acknowledge it.

Time to necro this thread.

In an alternate universe I envision Jussie wanting hire pay takes a different approach. Instead of the hate/homophobic attack hoax, Jussie in this alternate course goes the Mo'Nique route.

Jussie auditions for a role for a CBS sitcom and refuses their offer 2 million and demands pay of a $23 million dollars. CBS refuses which prompts Jussie to go on a boycott tour of the media demanding everyone stop watching CBS.

Jussie call CBS racist and points of the disparities in pay between black and white actors.   He goes after the The Big Bang Theory cast points how each cast member is making $1 million dollars an episode plus $1.5 million dollars an episode in their TBS syndication.

This creates a bigger discussion on equal pay.
