They just say that because the light source originates at the edges, it's still casting light from the back of the display forward you fucking idiot... That, alone, makes your photos worthless because you are nowhere near his ISO level setting. Look at you can see the rest of his room (that has no windows, and he would know to test in a completely dark environment). Then the actual backlight would be listed as "Diffusion FIlter and Reflector Panel" Because that's the only thing thats ACTUALLY BEHIND the LCD layer, and its redirecting light. And no, the LED sit at the permiter, and if it uses a reflector panel to bounce light then they would position the LED's beam to be purely along horizontal and vertical axis to take advantage of reflector panel. Its very simple, dude..................if you think its the same thing. Then how come your tv can only produce 435 nits of actual HDR peak brightness in "real scene" measurements from RTINGS? You own a CHEAPER FORM OF LIGHTING on your television, probably the BEST edge-lit television that anybody could make.
