based on numerous sources, it seems the series x version is the best console one to get. i'm getting it tonight for xbox.

Getting single digit FPS in dialogue cutscenes  these two games are on the opposite scale in terms of finished product and smoothness

yeah, the vids of the ps4/xbone versions are awful.

The game looks and runs fine for me on the ps4 pro. The game and patch were a doozy at over a hundred gigs tho. I will say it said it would take 3 hours to download but was probably closer to 90 minutes. The servers weren't as bad as I was expecting them to be at midnight.

My graphics settings defaulted to Ray Traced Ultra settings.

 

The only thing that it did not set it to was Ray Traced Lighting "Psycho" setting.

 

And I turned down motion blur to low, and I will see if I want to remove Chromatic Aberration.

 

Once I told it to turn on HDR, the lighting settings menu became a bit more complicated, I'm gonna leave it on default for now, and then check online to see what other OLED owners are setting it at.

I was expecting my One X's fan to run as loud as when I play RDR2.

However, the console is running dead silent, which leads me to believe I am playing the base Xbox One game.

So, it is not enhanced yet.

Hopefully this can be patched.

yeah, only the series x has a resolution enhancement. going to get it later and have it download tonight for the weekend.

However, I did check and see that I am running version 1.0.0.6

There is a version 1.02 out there and it is patched.

That's why my game looks muddy.

There is a patch out there but my One X is not seeing it yet.

 

EDIT: NVM, patch 1.02 is for PS4, while 1.0.0.6 is the latest Xbox One patch.

Seems kinda dumb putting different numbers for the patch.

Anyways, I am underwhelmed.

I feel the One X can do way more, that I am sure.

yeah, the last gen systems got treated like red headed step children. the ps5 version isn't much better  (aside from framerate). while the pc version rapes the series x one, it's still a solid way to play it.
