Just to put things into perspective, the video games market in 1998 that Jonb and RemiJ probably hold in high regard and probably see as gold standard for games retailers, actually only generated 7.4 billion dollars, that goes for all consoles and PC combined.
Meanwhile Gamestop in 2023 generated more than 5 billion dollars in revenue. Basically one video game store brand is making nearly as much as the entire industry did in in the late 90s.
Anyone who think this isn't a viable market whatsoever because it shrank vs online retails and digital is absolutely delusional.
