  1. The supply must be simply off the charts to keep up with such ravenous demand for hours.
  2. Game Pass is a "better deal", at the cost of tanking MS' already rickety 1st party publishing, and probably taking Bethesda down with it. Sony is right about this, day-1 subscription releases WILL lead to worse games at the high end. PS Extra at least gets you the game-buffet experience that has been missing on PlayStation, and I think that's the right call.
  3. I think Intel will be a major 3rd player in the GPU space by next year. It's frustrating that they won't get their flagship desktop GPU out in Q2. But everything still points to 3070 performance, likely at far cheaper than Nvidia's cards are going for. That alone is the shakeup we need, and their vendor-neutral ML upscaling is icing on the cake. Intel can potentially match the best differentiators from both AMD and Nvidia. They're obviously x86 masters, and can compete with APU/SoCs in portable devices like Steam Deck. They have a better commitment to open source drivers than Nvidi
  4. Wild that it's been 20 years and the same defective lambs who gloated about Nintendogs are still playing toddler games.
  5. And Sheep think the next Nintendo system will outperform the Steam Deck 😬
  6. This is true. The only advantage Extra seems to have over std Gamepass is Sony claims 400 games while Gamepass claims 100. Probably it will be most of the same 3rd party games.
  7. Yep I hope this does not change. Companies give away free games from a position of WEAKNESS. Sony started doing it when they were losing ground to the 360. Epic does it because they cannot compete with Steam. MS is betting the farm on it because they've lost every console generation they've been a part of. There's no reason for Sony to get baited into a loser's business model.
  8. Switch is a dead console. The only game I play on it is Tetris 99 and the ergonomics are beyond trash.
  9. Gamepass has got MS betting big on AA-tier games, and taking way less risks. If it was successful, they'd be pulled even harder in that direction. No joke, watch for their major franchises to go episodic this generation.
  10. Last I checked PS' streaming tech is a little too shitty to enjoy. It's a generation behind GeForce and Stadia. The middle tier for $100/yr could be good, but I want to see the whole list before I consider it. I don't see this revolutionizing PlayStation the way Gamepass has done to Xbox, but I honestly don't want it to. Sony goes big with first party, and I think MS is on its way to being the Netflix of games IN A BAD WAY. Netflix original content is so clearly produced by algorithm and MS is following in that. I don't want to see that happen to PlayStation. A clear le
  11. The only questionable one is Steam Controller, and I still use it sometimes. Either way I hope the major tech companies all do their spin on the handheld PC and you can put SteamOS on any of them. There was a report today that ASUS is on it, which id like to see.
  12. Yeah if Sony wasn't a better publisher than MS and Nintendo combined I'd just be a PC person.
  13. Nope hardware is the way forward, and more importantly extracting PC gaming from Windows is the ONLY way forward.
  14. I'm always rooting for PC, particularly Steam/Valve. But Valve has to beat MS before they can compete head-on with Sony.
  15. Great fucking system, and getting better. If you want to continue playing modern videogames, you buy dat quintuple.
  16. Thank god Sony has Bluepoint. They could whip up 1995 Halo into a 4k masterpiece over the weekend.
  17. It's a relief this game is not a breakout must-play. Means I'll eventually finish Horizon Forbidden West (after I get bored with Elden Ring)
