No, I'm in Canada but every province is different. Where I'm at there's a lot of down low racism. I guess it's that Canadian politeness.   None of it bothers me too much since it gives me a good indication who to avoid having dealings with.

 

On another note, I couldn't care to force racist people to include me in anything private. We have enough guidelines in place to ensure that racism doesn't hold people back in workplaces and education. When such things happen, you can file complaints, cases get investigated and they are resolved one way or another.

 

I know a lot of brothas and sistas who need to hold themselves more accountable for their life choices. But you get called an uncle tom if you try to help people who really don't want to be helped ;)

I do admit inner black on black social-crime is bad, and yeah, I know Liquid hates when I say it, but I have met grew up and been friends with too many brothas and sistas too trodden and stuck in their ways., too. Def been called an Uncle Tom here.  Kinda proud of it though, because I simply refused to put myself in a box.   That's a trap in of itself, and that trap did start with white folk catagorizing us 100s of years back, but at this point black folk can and do segregate their own mind.  I'm shocked Canadaaa has low down racism. I thought they were uber nice and shit.

 

 

 

the weirdest "racism" i've experienced, and it's fucking weird to experience it at 29 years of age and in this century, but I'll be at a country ass part of town or bar or applebees, drinking smooching with the people sitting to my left and right.  And an hour and 10 minutes in, I get the "people are saying they are uncomfortable. you have to legally leave."    Really? Fucking racist garbage bags, don't want a negro to talk to them.  I've done nothing in this scenario but say hello and start some conversation and move on with my sip.  Ironically the Somali shuttle driver who's job it is to escort people getting kicked out tells me "Yah, my boss has done this a lot. I'm literally the only Somalian here in tis town. And you're not the first and last black person to be kicked out of this bar."

that's one attitude to take. I imagine you're not the first person to deal with it this way. I'm usually and genuinely shocked if someone is blatantly racist. Then again, I'm young and not in the corporate world.  I met one kid who was and drunkingly threatened each others lives and now we don't talk.  Prolly not the best way to deal with it.

1. I dont know why you put racism in quotes, as that seemed to be 100% blatant racism. But ok.
