If it was a backlight..............then in the second column, why wouldn't they use a word that clearly implies backlight, or straight-up uses the word "backlight"??????????? The only thing that is lighting the LCD layer from behind................is the Diffusion filter sheet. Its very simple.....................is something that is on the perimeter of you BEHIND YOU. Even though they don't cast light directly onto the panel they are back lighting the panel through light guides and diffusion. An edge-lit display is a backlit display... You are beyond stupid... There is no "real backlit display", the light is either coming through the panel from behind it or it's not.
