I just reached level 5 and im pretty familiar with how everything works now and i got some bad ass spells. Im about 20 hours into the game. Its amazing. I'd say those 1% and .1% lows are within margin of error territory. From that shot there's no reason to choose more than 5GBs. The amount of games consuming more than 5GB of VRAM at 1080p medium settings is probably very very very small.

It's crazy the amount of underlying systems that are all working in tandem as you play. Anything you can do, your enemies can do as well. On the higher difficulty they take advantage of every opportunity in which you leave yourself open. Being observant and use the games systems to your advantage is the key to success. Im not really sure the comparison would work. In general you don't need a ton of VRAM on these kind of systems since you're only running games at 720p/1080p. There's every reason to expect it will be great on PS5. It's not too demanding on PC hardware on high settings. Also the gamepad support is excellent.

I'd be shocked if you don't love it, I'd damn near refund it myself if that was the case. One thing I'll say is there's a BIT of a learning curve around the combat and how it works (specifically with resting, how your spell slots recharge, that sort of stuff) but there's ample spoiler free videos out there that will get you going and once it really clicks it becomes a blast.

On another note, I got my PS5 yesterday but I was busy so couldn't get around to setting it up. I just finished doing that and holy mother of God, this thing is big and ugly. Like holy shit, no wonder there are so many people wanting a Slim. I mean, I knew it was big but you don't realize it's pure bulk until it's staring right back at you. But anyways, fired it up, browsed the PS Store just to see what deals were going on and saw Demon's Souls for 30 bucks. It just seemed right to make it my first PS5 game and the first game I'll use to christen this big, fat, ugly thing.
