I think that game is utilizing the tech, but to a very limited degree. I think the game looks quite good for a company of their size... but that they don't have the budget to make extremely stupidly detailed and geometrically rich models. They have to be smart with their budget, and so that plays into it.
I think you'll see what UE5 can do when The Coalition shows off their next game (prob Gears 6) and studios like CDProjectRED with The Witcher. Nanite + Lumen + Substrate is going to be potent.
It’s a paramount exclusive. At first, I was like, “ok this is fun.” Then I was, “what the fuck?” Then by the end of the second ep I was like, “no, really, WHAT THE FUCK?” - in a great way it’s just a fun, wild ride.
i've been eye-balling this:

i do a lot of shopping there and i think that laptop should be strong enough for bg3 and some lesser demanding indie games.
A lot of games have ditched split-screen so that's really not that big of a deal.
Spectator mode? The only time I've ever used that was in a Fighting Game, and that's only because its a full lobby so I'm waiting for my turn.
Why would I want to race AI in a multi-player mode? I can just play single player for that.
These are not essential so who really cares that they're missing?
Depends what you're looking for specifically. I would usually aim to get the meat cleaver as fast as possible with a Str build. I think it's in 3-2 but I don't remember at all, tbh. I kinda always followed the regular progression path.
If you want to grind there's those flying creatures with the sword that creates shockwaves, they neat some fast and easy souls, iirc. I think at the end of 4-3 but I could also be totally mistaken. It has been too long.
The lack of a rewind button makes Humanity pretty demotivating. Not for the basic puzzles (which are pretty easy), but for getting the gold figures. Some require a lot of thought and planning, and the smallest oversight fucks it all up (like pushing an essential block off the area). If I had a rewind feature, I could just undo the mistake and keep progressing. Instead, I have to redo most of my steps again from the beginning. I don’t think this is for me.
That's acceptable. I was expecting something more substantial like not being able to customize your cars appearance or not having a proper campaign mode.
