Looking back, its funny how the whole 'control the digital flow of information' theme has played out in real life somewhat, considering the snowden leaks and such. Kojima was way ahead of his time. MGS1's end was equally good. The fight with rex, Gray Fox jumping in and dying, fist fight with liquid on top of Rex, the jeep chase, considering that game was released in 1998. When I was eleven it was 1995 and I was busy growing my Sega CD library of games discovering the cyber-punk future world of Rise of the Dragon, and understanding the sexual inuendo flurtations of a blonde woman hittkng on to me in the FMV game Corspe Killer. The world building, character development, and continuity is incredible and lead to probably the most satisfying ending ever, at least for me. I think MGS as a series has my favorite Intro AND endings to a game ever Did you catch that MGS1 Intro remake man? It was made by a fan, or some fans, and is pretty fucking amazing.
