Nearly 18 hours into Rise of the Ronin. The game does have a lot of Ubisoft style design where it litters the map with icons like collectibles, activities, outposts you can clear to unlock even more icons on the map, etc. But what I will say is that you can quickly breeze through a lot of stuff in a short period of time so it always feels like you're making progress regardless of how long your play sessions are (this would have been a great pick up and play game for a PC handheld). Also the game does a good job of constantly rewarding you whether it be with new loot, skill points, deeper bonds
