From the way it reads it's a method of applying higher resolution textures and art to legacy games without the need to actually alter the code of the game. A developer can store new art and categorically assign its deployment based upon what's taking place in the game. When the game would naturally call upon the original texture work it's intercepted by whatever this program is to which it then deploys the new textures in their place. Gun are not inherently evil objects. I agree with that sentiment. Guns are a tool. And tools, the class of tool, its design, and permission to use it DOES need to be regulated. The tool, as its designed, is simply too unbalanced for this day and age. We need to be invented new security weapons and making those freely available. Guns need additional licensing and handling regulations. Kind of like how any adult can go and get himself a license to drive a regular Class C automobile. But you can't get behind the wheel of a large 18-wheeler.
