I remember my roommate when i was young found out how to dl DC games. I had one of those old CD binders, the big fat ones with a zipper...filled with games. Thats how we discovered Guilty Gear. That shit was fun. We played fighting games all day and weird DC games we never even heard of. On that shit controller too, lol. DC was legit.

On another note, I got my PS5 yesterday but I was busy so couldn't get around to setting it up. I just finished doing that and holy mother of God, this thing is big and ugly. Like holy shit, no wonder there are so many people wanting a Slim. I mean, I knew it was big but you don't realize it's pure bulk until it's staring right back at you. But anyways, fired it up, browsed the PS Store just to see what deals were going on and saw Demon's Souls for 30 bucks. It just seemed right to make it my first PS5 game and the first game I'll use to christen this big, fat, ugly thing.

This is why I preferred P5 Strikers to original P5. It still has the strengths when it comes to storytelling and characters but wraps them up in a much shorter and better paced package.

P5 is the worst at that, imo. It just drag on and on. Then they're having those stupid text messages cutscenes where they just repeat absolutely worthless shit like ''do we go tartarus tonight?'' or some shit. It's so slow paced. P3Portable is actually really quick and fast paced. You don't run around except in the dungeon tower, you only click on icons and honestly, that's way better. Because you get through the day stuff much, much faster. Granted the presentation is basic as fuck but I don't care because P3P ends 20 hours sooner than if you played the PS2 version.

Man, during and a few years after the DC died was the best time to get them. I got a modded Dreamcast in 2004 and about 30 games, tons of fighting games which all became rare, the whole package was insanely cheap. It's hard to remember exactly but it was around 150-300$ for the whole thing. No ONE wanted DC stuff at the time. The bundle had Capcom games like Jojo Bizarre Adventure, SFIII Double Impact, SFIII Third Strike which ended up selling for 120$-180$. All the Sega classics, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure 2, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue. The guy had excellent taste.

Yeah, the game certainly got the look down. Its sitting at a 68 at Metacritic so it certainly has problems. It's only 20 bucks though so I might just grab it anyways. I'll just set expectations to low.

That's cool but I'm not going to bother chasing it. I'm just going to do what I want. I played P5R with trying to accomplish everything in one playthrough and the game just felt like such a chore, I'm not doing that again LOL. Especially since I'm actually enjoying P4G, I'm not trying to dampen that enjoyment.

The true ending (which has all of the best battles) only requires one playthrough.

Enforcing my point is not being insecure. I am just telling you I have played a ton of great online games back in the day. Unreal tournament 99, quake, tftc, css, ghost Recon, tribes. Games nowadays improve very little on the formula. They all revolve about leveling up your character while giving you big but empty maps and mask it with dumbed down gameplay.

So I've put in close to 10 hours into P4G so far and I'm enjoying it. A lot of it has to do with the writing, I find the writing in P4G to be so much better than P5R. I even find the characters to be more entertaining. I really didn't care for the cast in P5R so it was hard to care for any of their plights because I just found all the characters to be either generic or annoying.
