  5. I'm sure you heard of the acclaimed "Ghost in the Shell" series. But what you may not know about it is that it's Oshii's greatest work of all time, inspiring many film makers around the world, including the Matrix. Oshii made two films... GITS and GITS 2: innocence https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/74324 https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/6807 There is a Ghost in the Shell TV series called Ghost in the Shell Stand alone complex. This series is good but it's not Mamoru Oshii-- The director of that series considers Oshii his mentor and tries to

  6. Check out early 90s for some of the worst decisions ever on best supporting actor 1992 - Jack Nicholson (a Few Good Men) lost to Gene Hackman (Unforgiven) 1993 - Leonardo Dicaprio (What's Eating Gilbert Grape), Ralph Fiennes (Schindlers List) lost to Tommy Lee Jones (the Fugitive) 1994 - Samuel L Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Garry Sinise (Forrest Gump) lost to Martin Landau (Ed Wood) Best actor isn't as bad, but this one is a big oof 1974 - Al Pacino (Godfather Pt 2), Jack Nicholson (Chinatown) lost to Art Carney (Harry and Tonto)

  7. this thread owns. but sadly i only have to add performances from my favourite actor ethan hawke. - Training Day: Denzel's performance was amazing but Ethan truly deserved that one. - Gattaca: My favourite movie of all time and he didn't win an oscar for it. That was the moment I started to hate humanity. - Lord of war: Nicolas Cage was a god in that movie seriously no idea why he didn't get anything. Ethan Hawke owned as the antagonist though. shoutout to cooke for including american psycho, i wholeheartedly agree. I could

  10. Zelda: Twilight Princess was an epic flop at 8.8 But after playing it, that's a great score for great game. I also feels the lack of .1 scale cheapens the new games that score 10. God of War was really good but I'd score that a 9.6 instead of a 10. It was really, really good but I don't think it was perfect by any means which is what I feel a 10 signifies.

  11. The whole number scoring is bullshit. I miss the tenth of point scale. There's a huge difference between a game that's a 9 and a game that's 9.7 or a game that's 8.9 versus 8.1 IMO.

  12. I'm not a fan when people just shit talk zoomers or whatever but then get reminded they make people like that millionaires for playing video games in their bedroom and can't defend them.

  13. they don't make any good games though so whats the point?

  14. They wont, too risky, too hard to do. And last I heard most of the development is outsourced to another company, chances are its just going to be a nice facelift and minor changes. Idgaf personally, RE Village is what matters. They remade RE2 and it was cool, but I still prefer the original game over it. And RE3 while decent failed to deliver. So fuck remaking old games like its the solution to fix the older titles, it just isnt, RE4 is no exception. They might as well just focus on making entirely new games, imo.

  15. They are not going to go over that route with RE4 remake and you know it.

  16. Most recent anime are trash. I got into Attack on Titan for a while but thats about it. Nothing top the classics like Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Dragon Ball Z and Samurai Champloo for me. And I doubt anything ever will, unfortunately. Studio Ghibli movies have been added to Netflix so Ill watch some eventually.

  18. Super Dimension Fortress Macross - Do You Remember Love Just watched it and holy SHIT I can't believe this came out in 1984 That was incredible even though the story is kinda wack but still intriguing at the same time and the corniness dial is turned to maximum sometimes. Like I opened a time capsule that covers the essence of that era's animation and let me relive it for 2 hours straight. Apparently it had an insane budget for that time and it shows, unbelievable work
