It's great, your choices do matter and it still manages to have a coherent story with a satisfying conclusion (at least it did for me). Voice actors and writing are really good. It's infinitely better than previous Quantic Dream games. At first I wasn't too sure about the game when I was still doing menial tasks, I was getting flashback of Heavy Rain but it didn't take too long for the game to hook me. Detroit is a great game and you should stop doubting yourself because it didn't get the critical reception it deserves. Heavy Rain is a higher reviewed game for fuck sake, and we both know how superior Detroit is. Fuck reviews. Do you think I love GoW because it got a 10/10? I don't give a shit. I had really low expectations for it's gameplay before actually playing it.

Funny thing that this reminds me of, that I cogitated about, was that Rick Peck from Tropic of Thunder was friends with Tugg Speedman for 15 years. He expressed his friendship boldly with no resentment and decided on going to save him in the jungle. Lol some of you guys take gaming way too seriously. It’s subjective. Just agree to disagree. While I think GoW is the “better game”, I enjoyed Detroit a lot more - and it’s a 7.0 flop. I also couldn’t get into Zelda BOTW after 3 tries. Some things resonate with certain gamers, while others don’t. Nobody’s taste is an absolute. If you think “your taste” is better than another’s, get over yourself. Also, stop dissecting these games and just enjoy them.

I've watched some of the reactions to it and I've noticed this too, mainly younger people so unfamiliar with real rap and hip-hop, its history, beefs and the culture that some of the best bars are just flying right by them totally oblivious only picking up the obvious. That's why you'll see some comments talking about how MGK won, that's only because they're so inept to what is going on and actually being said that MGK's basic ass song was easy to digest and understand if you don't actually know anything.

I've played it and I don't think the game is that good. I agree with the praise the game gets when it comes to it's narrative because it honestly surprised me with how good it is but the gameplay has plenty of faults. I don't see any aspect of it's gameplay being close to brilliant or well designed. All three of the core aspects of this series (platforming, puzzles, and combat) are terrible in this game compared to previous entries.
